2 rushed to hospital after car crashes into garbage truck in Delhi Township

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKC) - Two people were rushed to the hospital after a woman hit a Rumpke employee with her car and smashed into the back of a garbage truck in Delhi Township Wednesday morning. It happened around 3 a.m. on Anderson Ferry Road at Romance Lane. A Delhi Police officer happened to roll up on it shortly after it happened. Police believe the Rumpke employee was working by himself and was operating the back part of the truck when he and the truck were hit. Both the Rumpke employee and the driver of the car were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries. Police said although alcohol use is suspected by the driver who hit the Rumpke employee, the crash is still under investigation.
