Taking advantage of the on-going tension between India and China in the Galwan Valley, Pakistan has stepped up its attacks against our nation. At 10.45 am today, Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire agreement and began heavily shelling forward areas in Jammu & Kashmir. According to Defence Ministry spokesperson Devendra Anand, Pakistani troops first began firing with small arms unprovoked, and then moved on to heavy shelling with mortars. The Indian Army retaliated befittingly and brought the situation under control. While Indian Security forces were dealing with this, they were also fighting another battle against terrorists in Kashmir. In 2 encounters, 8 terrorists of the Pakistan sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed, were killed in precision operations. This took place simultaneously, and Indian forces made sure there was no collateral damage. When two terrorists tried taking refuge inside a mosque, our soldiers did not resort to using guns or IEDs to neutralize them, but maintained the sanctity of the place of worship by using only tear smoke shells, according to Jammu & Kashmir police.
