Winter vacations have officially been announced across Pakistan as federal and provincial governments issue notifications for educational institutions. According to the Federal Ministry of Education, winter holidays in federal government schools and colleges will be observed from 26 December to 3 January, with academic activities resuming on 5 January. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, separate schedules have been issued for summer and winter zones. Educational institutions in summer zones will remain closed from 1 January to 15 January, while winter zone institutions will stay closed from 22 December to 28 February due to extreme cold. The Punjab government has announced winter holidays for both public and private schools from 23 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, with reopening on 12 January. Meanwhile, Sindh will observe winter vacations from 22 December to 31 December, while schools will reopen on 1 January.
