Gemmy 1995 Animated "Pumpkin With Ghost"

Got this at an antique shop for only $5. Took it home and it had a split gear. this thing was extremely difficult to take apart since the ghost doesn't fully come out of the pumpkin. Put this thing back together and it turns out the motor must be bad as well. whenever the ghost comes up, he has troubles going back down. I believe it also could be a relay switch that is not working properly but I'm not totally sure.
