Everything shown here is pre-alpha gameplay. Features, visuals, and performance are still actively being worked on. This update focused on stability, performance, and fixing long-standing issues, while laying the groundwork for consistent, and more frequent updates as we continue toward Steam Early Access. Below is a condensed changelog so you can still see what’s actually in this build. 2025 was big both personally and for the game and I want to briefly explain the silence in development this year before getting into the update. In January 2025 I began the 5 month long FDNY fire academy. The academy was an intense Mon-Fri 18-week commitment filled with early mornings, nonstop physical training, mental pressure, and constant studying. This was my last opportunity to fulfill my life long dream of becoming an NYC firefighter and I wasn't going to let the once in a lifetime opportunity slip away. During that time, it simply wasn’t possible to give the game and community the attention they needed. I know many wondered if the project had been abandoned, but I want to be clear: it was never dead. Now that I've graduated and had the time to settle into my new career, I’ve been fully back in active development since June and this update represents that return. You’ll see major progress in: Core systems (weapons, vehicles, buildables, items, weather, AI behavior, and more) New weapons, equipment, and tools A completely overhauled atmosphere with new lighting, fog, clouds, weather, effects, and sound New map areas and improvements Expanded character abilities like swimming, parachuting, hang gliding, and climbing Improved building, world interaction, and environmental detail Significant AI improvements for Tripods and aliens Deep optimization work across physics, terrain, shadows, LODs, scene loading, and core systems Wishlist War of the Worlds on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/18...
