Some people will run Heartbreaker with Coyote's Mask and the Heartbreaker chest. This will provide a higher damage ceiling then this setup, but takes, from my experience, longer to ramp up unless you run in with an ACS12 shotgun first. That's fine and all, but I personally don't like that because the build is very squishy even with a shield so I have a larger likelihood of getting downed. This setup still provides good damage from safer ranges. Like I said, the chest takes a while to ramp up damage unless using an ACS12, so I wanted something that gave some immediate damage. I normally like Obliterate over Spotter because of the 10% difference, but Perfect Spotter provides 20% so it's a hefty boost. Chose Vigilance on the backpack because it works pretty well with Heartbreaker. If you don't know, as long as you have bonus armor, Vigilance can't be turned "off" when shot. Since Heartbreaker provides free Bonus Armor, this "protects" Vigilance providing even more consistent damage. The rest is your standard damage options. Rerolled each piece of Heartbreaker to a Weapon Damage Core. Attributes rolled to Crit Chance and Damage. Ceska for more Crit. I personally like to have some additional weapon handling to help with reload speed. Quicker reload speed for me allows me to react a bit quicker so personal preference. Carbine 7 with Flatline for some additional up front damage. Even though it doesn't say, Flatline also currently boosts the damage of Striker Drone and possibly other ballistic skills. Strained can be an option too as well as Optimist if you prefer other damage talents. Fast Hands, preservation, etc can also be good if you want other bonuses. Technician so I can use the Linked Laser Pointer so I can always have stuff pulsed without needing a Headshot or using up a skill slot. You don't have to use the Pointer, but the consistency of it is too hard to pass up. Better consistency with pulse means better consistency with damage for Heartbreaker. Riot Foam is just standard for me for any DPS builds, I like the spot Crowd Control. Allows me to burst down targets with ease. But both skills can be whatever you want. Overall pretty fun. This is my preferred way to run Heartbreaker as a mostly Red Build.
