It is time for our 2021 Top Five Highlights! Thank you for supporting our mission to serve with charity and compassion to promote the sanctity and dignity of all people with God. Morris V.G. joined us for a blessing ceremony and ribbon cutting at the new home of our La Esperanza Free Medical Clinic in Wimauma! On September 24, Bishop Gregory Parkes joined us for a ribbon cutting ceremony and to bless our new Foundations of Life Pregnancy Center Mobile Medial Unit. On October 20, we opened the Pasco Family Shelter in New Port Richey, welcoming the first of our nine families that the shelter can support at a time. We are thrilled to announce that one family has moved to permanent housing in Sarasota and a second family will be moving to a home in early 2022! Pasco Family Shelter provides a safe living environment for homeless families; providing meals, clothing, counseling and more as they work to return to the path of self-sufficiency. To donate, text pascoshelter to 91999! On November 6, you joined us for our 2021 Ministries of Mercy Celebration of Life Fundraising Event! Thanks to you, we raised $350,000! Your donations will help individuals and families throughout our three Ministries of Mercy: Friends in Need, Foundations of Life and Shelters of Hope. To donate, text celebratelife to 41444! On December 13, the City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, joined by city staff, Catholic Charities staff, donors, partners and other supporters joined us for a ribbon cutting of our fifth emergency shelter, Tampa Hope! By the end of the day, 25 formerly homeless men and women had a safe place to live. To date, 50 individuals have been accepted in the shelter and we look forward to reaching our goal of 300! Tampa Hope provides a safe living environment for homeless individuals; providing meals, clothing, counseling and more as they work to return to the path of self-sufficiency.
