Bless You, Yahweh! (Psalm 119:9-16) - Official Lyric Video

Official Lyric Video for “Bless You, Yahweh! Psalm 119:9-16" Written and sung by Tina Chen Get the song here: https://tinachenmusic.com/music These songs are my own translation of Psalm 119 written in English as a singable acrostic as it was originally written in Hebrew. Each eight-verse section is its own song for a total of 22 songs. I was very surprised as I began to dig deeper into this Psalm to learn that not only does each of the 22 songs begin with the Hebrew letter, but each of the eight lines within the song also begins with that letter. That really sparked my imagination, so I began my journey of translating this Psalm into English in a similar way. My goal was to keep close enough to the original Hebrew text and its meaning to call it a translation while also making it an acrostic and a group of songs that felt like the kind of songs we sing in our worship. I didn’t want the language to feel awkward but to flow in the way that we speak and sing. By living according to Your Word. 10 Because I seek You with all my heart, Don’t let me stray from Your commands! (Chorus) 11 By treasuring Your Word in my heart, I’m kept from wronging You. 12 Bless You, Yahweh! (Bless You, Yahweh!) Please teach me Your commands. 13 By declaring with my lips all You’ve said, I proclaim the justice of Your ways. 14 Beyond all the riches of this world, I rejoice to follow Your commands. (chorus) 15 By meditating on Your Law, I keep my eyes fixed on Your path. 16 Because I delight in Your decrees, I won’t forget Your Word. (chorus)
