The Beatles “No Reply” Ringo Starr • Drum Cover

One of my favorite earlier Beatles tunes. Ringo’s parts here are somewhat of a mystery for me. Even after listening to isolated drum tracks. Is he playing a cross stick in the verses or hitting the snare? Are there 8th notes on the hi hats and is he playing a standard boss nova kick pattern? It’s really hard to tell! There are definitely some overdubbed crashes but I did not do that here. Was just going for a full single take. Whatever he was playing on this tune, it’s an excellent performance from Ringo and per usual, the perfect parts for the song. Here’s my interpretation. Enjoy!
