US to withhold nuke data after Moscow's treaty suspension; Lavrov: no bilat. contacts on New START

US officials Tuesday say they will no longer be sharing nuclear information with Russia in response to Moscow's suspension of its participation in the New START nuclear arms treaty last month. The arms control pact, signed by then-Presidents Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev in 2010, limits the number of strategic nuclear warheads and gives each country the power to inspect the other. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview Tuesday that Russia and the United States do not maintain any contacts on the New START Treaty. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
