To be sold exclusively on Bring a Trailer at NO RESERVE Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1969 Triumph T120R Bonneville 650! Triumph's fabled Bonneville model was first released in 1959 and continued its successful run with a 649cc parallel twin engine until 1975 when it was replaced by the T140 with its 744c parallel twin engine. The Bonneville name was derived from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah after Johnny Allen from Texas achieved a two-way average speed of 193.3mph on his Triumph 650 powered streamlined motorcycle named "Devil's Arrow" at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1955. This 1969 T120R Bonneville is finished in Olympic Flame with Silver accents, a black seat, and painted fenders. It is powered by its numbers matching 649cc parallel twin rated at 46hp with twin Amal carburetors. It also features a 4-speed manual transmission, kick-start ignition, two-up seating, Smiths and Lucas gauges, dual exhaust, and 18" wire-spoked wheels. It is believed to have largely original cosmetics with minor flaws that still presents in nice condition with an odometer currently reading 20,145 miles which may be the original mileage. The Dunlap Gold Seal tires do show some cracking from age but hold set air pressure. They should be replaced by the next owner for safety reasons if elongated riding is planned. We acquired it in September 2022 from the previous owner from West Bloomfield, MI who owned it since May of 1997. We proceeded to clean the carburetors as the float was stuck in one, clean and re-gap the spark plugs, and install a new battery. It is offered in running and driving condition and ready to join your collection.
