Final Boss: Orphan | Final Fantasy XIII (13) 100% Walkthrough "49/64" (No Commentary)

In this part, we enter the final room in Orphan's Cradle and battle against Barthandelus. Afterwards, we battle against Orphan and finish the Story. Collectibles: 0 Boss: Barthandelus HP: 5,227,500 Recommended Equipment: Hope - Three Rune Bracelet* Fang - Power Glove, Warrior's Wristband, Rune Bracelet* Vanille - Three Rune Bracelet* Paradigms: 1. Syn/Com/Med 2. Rav/Com/Rav 3. Rav/Com/Med 4. Rav/Sab/Sab 5. Syn/Sen/Med 6. Med/Sen/Med Strategy: Start by casting Haste on everyone, then manually cast Shell and Protect on everyone. Barthandelus will likely cast Ultima so swap to 6 to heal. Swap to 4 and hit him with all the major Status Aliments, then swap to 2 to Stagger him. Once Staggered, spam Last Resort with Hope to boost the Chain Gauge to 999%, then attack normally. Fang will do most of the damage. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boss: Orphan HP: 6,780,000 Recommended Equipment: The same as the previous battle. Paradigms: 1. Syn/Com/Med 2. Rav/Com/Rav 3. Rav/Com/Med 4. Rav/Sab/Sab 5. Med/Sab/Sab ---- Note: This has changed from the last battle! 6. Med/Sen/Med Strategy: WARNING!!! This battle will start immediately after the cutscenes following the first battle! You can press Start and Retry to gain access to your Equipment and Paradigms in order to change the Strategy alongside me. When the battle begins, cast Haste on Hope and immediately swap to 6 to heal from Merciless Judgement. Swap back to 1 and cast Haste on the others. Next cast Shell and Veil on everyone, and Bravery and Enfire on Fang. Swap to 4 and cast Deprotect, Deshell, Imperil, Slow, and Poison on the boss, all five must land! Next, swap to 2 and Stagger the Boss, then spam Last Resort to boost the Chain Gauge to 999%. Once the Boss loses a third of it's HP it will use Merciless Judgement again, so heal back up in 6. Make sure all 5 Ailments are renewed on the Boss in 4 or 5, then swap to 2 to Stagger it and take it down. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boss: Orphan HP: 3,390,000 Recommended Equipment: The same as the previous battles. Paradigms: 1. Syn/Sab/Sab 2. Rav/Com/Rav 3. Rav/Com/Med 4. Rav/Sab/Sab 5. Syn/Com/Rav 6. Med/Sen/Med Strategy: When the battle begins, the Boss will cast Doom on us, giving us a time limit to win. Start in 1 and cast Haste on everyone, allow the others to cast Deprotect, Deshell, and Imperil. Swap to 2 to Stagger the Boss. Once Staggered, spam Last Resort to both raise the Chain Gauge to 999% and deal damage to the Boss until we win.
