Priscilla Queen of the Desert -- Melbourne Curtain Call 2/7/18 - Regent Theatre

Frocking amazing! Spectacular, dazzling, fun night that had me dancing in my seat and aisle. Loved it so much I squeezed in two shows within my short visit. On second showing, I was ready for the ping pong balls surprise and caught two. One from Bob (Robert Grubb), another from Cynthia (Lena Cruz), his wife. Utter hoot! In this 10th anniversary tour starting from Melbourne, the show was tremendously fresh with new implants, nip tucks, and red-hot sequins. Veteran Tony Sheldon, with close to 2000 performances as Bernadette, spearheaded the production and brought stupendous class and fortitude. David Harris as Tick, provided the heart. Euan Doidge as Felicia, is the fiercest sassiest performer I have ever seen on stage, funniest lines and technicolor energy. The 3 leads had resonating chemistry. Beautiful ensemble, especially the 3 divas that flew like angles belting out dance classics, the 500 award-winning costumes and 200 head dresses…they made my heart sing! Its exactly what we needed, “A cock with a frock on a rock!” It was glorious. Go see this!
