This story will tell us how an aged donkey, dog, cat and cockerel escaped their would-be miserable fate of being killed by their respective owners and finally lead a happy life together. The Grimm Brothers are Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm (1785–1863) and Wilhelm Carl Grimm (1786–1859). They were German academics, philologists, cultural researchers, lexicographers as well as among the first and best-known collectors of German and European folk tales.
