Exploring Drift & Crawling Down Ore Pass To See Where It Goes?

While exploring a large gold mine that was started in 1922, we entered one of several adits that are in the area. There are also two vertical shafts associated with this mine. We had previously explored one of the shafts, a 300-foot deep four level working. After making our way through the main adit, we came to an ore pass that was at the end of a branch off the main drift. We followed the ore pass down about 30 feet and found ourselves in a large stope. After crawling down a ramp, I came to what looked like a working level that we had been in previously. Sure enough, and to my surprise, I was at the first level of the 300-foot shaft. It made for an interesting explore and we hope you enjoy it.
