Part of Kevin Mather's Zoom delivery to a Bellevue Rotary meeting recently involved prospect Jarred Kelenic. Mather allegedly said the Mariners tried to work a long-term deal with Kelenic but were rebuked. Mather resigned Monday and Seattle team chairman and managing partner John Stanton said any decisions regarding players are made between the Manager and GM.
