Utah governor ‘deeply concerned’ about the impact the drought could have on food prices

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said there are water restrictions underway in every water district in the state to conserve water amid a severe drought. Cox said the drought is having an immense impact on farms and can affect food prices beyond the state’s borders. “That chain impacts the animals that we feed, which then impacts, of course, the price of meat and the price of food here in the state, and certainly across the West, and those impacts will ripple across the country and parts of the world. So that’s something we’re deeply concerned about.”
