San Bernardino County, CA — January 17, 2026: Authorities reported that Anthony Jackson was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in a hit-and-run incident on State Route 247, also known as Barstow Road, south of Barstow. According to officials, the crash occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. near the intersection with Charro Road when a semi-truck reportedly struck a pedestrian and continued driving from the scene. The pedestrian, later identified as 35-year-old Anthony Jackson of Apple Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.
