Scientists and policymakers met via spacebridge to discuss the implications of the Chernobyl and Three Mile Island nuclear reactor disasters. The two-hour link between a studio in Moscow and a gathering at the University of San Francisco also included satellite hook-ups to other locations in the USSR.
