Trump ally Roger Stone is arrested at his Florida home

Roger Stone (pictured left with Trump in 1999 and inset), a former longtime confidant of President Donald Trump, insisted Friday morning that he is innocent of a string of criminal charges brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller (top right). Asked by DailyMail.com if he expects to be cleared, Stone cracked a wry smile and said: 'Absolutely.' He added: 'I’ll have a statement in a little bit' as he left the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale after his release on a $250,000 bond. A defiant Stone, 66, insisted he was innocent today after appearing in court to face a string of charges in Robert Mueller's Russian meddling probe. Attorney Robert Buschel, appearing with Stone, added: 'He’s leaving, so it’s a good day.' FBI agents in tactical bulletproof vests arrested Stone on Friday morning with guns drawn (center) after Special Counsel Robert Mueller unsealed a seven-count indictment from a grand jury impaneled in his sprawling probe into Russian election meddling. Separately, another Trump ally – former campaign chairman Paul Manafort (bottom right) – also appeared in a Virginia federal courtroom.  Original Article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic...
