In this video I am checking out The Duke of Tone, a brand new collaboration between MXR and Analogman. For years, the Analogman King of Tone has been a pedal that has divided guitar players. Some love it, some hate it... but it's hard to ignore the phenomenal demand. With waiting list times currently say around the 4 year mark (At the time of shooting this video), guitarists are willing to wait long periods of time to get their hands on this coveted pedal. Analogman have teamed up with MXR to licence the design for one half of the pedal (Also available as the Analogman Prince of Tone) into a small pedal that you see here, known as the Duke of Tone. This allows you to get those amazing King of Tone style sounds, without breaking the bank. It's also a great way to get your fix of the sound if you're sitting on the waiting list! The pedal has three modes, boost, OD and Distortion, each with a huge range of tones available. It is incredibly dynamic and responsive to how you play, what guitars you use and how you dial it in. This might just be the ultimate overdrive circuit... In the video I am using my PJD Guitars St John Standard and my Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional. The guitars are plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 which is running clean. The amp is running via the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X and the reverb is coming from the Surfy Industries Surfy Bear Classic.
