Ahead of BJP's planned month-long 'rath yatra' ahead of the assembly elections in Bengal, a PIL has been filed before the Calcutta High Court praying for its interference to prevent the saffron party's rath yatra claiming that it would hit the and law and order in the state. The saffron party plans to take out five rallies cover all constituencies of the poll-bound state. According to the latest update, BJP leaders including Swpan Dasgupta, Dilip Ghosh & others will meet Election Commission officials over 'rath yatra' permission. On the other hand, TMC sources told India Today that Mamata government has so far not denied permission to BJP's Rath Yatra.
