*40 FOOT INTREPID!*-What It's like being a mate on a fluke charter in Montauk + Partial Boat Review

This is a July 15th charter booked with https://justfishinglongisland.com/ I am extremely lucky to be mating on this trip and would like to give a shoutout to Capt. John Halkias. During this sticky morning we climbed aboard a spectacular 40 foot intrepid center console that included a cabin. As we trekked out to Montauk with our radar on due to the heavy fog we rolled around the point and got settled for an incredible day. We filled the fish box with 10 nice size fluke, sea bass, and ling (a type of cod fish). It was an honor to help teach 2 remarkably young fishing fanatics. They ended up being high hook landing 3 fish each. The boat is also another topic, we were running approximately 50 miles an hour with a top speed rounding off at around 60.
