This is a member of the Col de Dame family of fig varieties, which is known to produce great tasting figs. True to this reputation, I got two great tasting CdDN figs off my tree today. In fact, they were probably two of the best tasting figs I've had all year. Of note, I did ripen these figs under the grow lights in my grow room, which provides some evidence that grow lights can be used as a good strategy to ripen top-quality figs late in the season on the east coast.
