https://truewaykids.com/the-tabernacle/ The Tabernacle God told Moses to build a special tent called a tabernacle. It was a place where God could dwell with the people. God gave Moses all the details to make the tabernacle perfect. The people were so happy that God wanted to dwell with them. They happily gave gold, jewels, cloth, furs, and wood to build this special place. ## Moses asked the people to use their special skills to help build the tabernacle. People who could embroider, used the skills to make beautiful, embroidered cloth for God’s house. Men who knew how to work with their hands used their skills to cut wood, hammer metal and carve stones. Everyone was very happy to do something for God. ## Finally, the tabernacle was finished. Moses inspected the work. The people had done everything exactly as God had commanded. Moses blessed them. A cloud covered the tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the house they had made for God. ## When it was time for the Israelites to move, the cloud would lift from the tabernacle. If it did not lift, then the people would stay where they were. But when the cloud moved, they would pack up everything and follow. They had pleased God by obeying Him and making Him a tabernacle.
