Four things you need to know about Project Cars

Project Cars has been delayed several times but it looks like we will finally be able to play it next month. This game however, isn't your regular racing game. These are four things you need to know about Project Cars. 1. The Crowd! The production of this racing game is funded by game developer Slightly Mad Studios and their community. Unlike other developers, the studio did not require financial backing from a publisher. The game is not only crowd funded, it's also crowd developed. The studio used resources from the community to build the game. Contributors will receive a share of the game sales generated within the first three years after launch as a compensation for their efforts. 2. Better than Need for Speed The game is build on the improved Madness engine, which was used to build the Need for Speed Shift racing games. This means the physics and graphics in this game will be even more realistic. Besides, in Need for Speed Shift there already was lots of attention to interior details and we will see the same in Project Cars. 3. Real Racers Dynamic weather effects and ever changing lighting is one thing, but in the end you want a simulation racing game to FEEL like the real thing. That's why Slightly Mad Studios have signed the services of four professional racers, including Ben Collins, who was the very first version of The Stig on the tv show Top Gear. They have to make sure that the handling of the car feels as realistic as possible. 4. Virtual Reality Project Cars will offers Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus support. Combine this with a steering wheel and you are actually driving cars in virtual reality! Can you imagine what a game changer it is to be able to look into corners before taking them. If money is no object then this is the absolute best way to play this game. Project Cars is coming out on Windows PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
