'Wings Like Eagles' Written by Joe and Rosa Hopkins I want to share with you how you can be saved. It is sin that separates us from God. The Bible says this: 'the wages of sin is death'. Romans 6:23a Eternal death and eternal separation from God in a fiery hell. But the Bible also says 'but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' Romans 6:23b. The ten commandments provide us with God's standard for holiness. If you have transgressed these commandments you have sinned. Every lie, every mean thing uttered, every hatred. The Bible says to hate your brother is like unto murder. Every lie, even the so-called little lies are a sin. There is no such thing as a little lie. 'Thou shalt not steal'. Ex 20:15 What does that mean? It means if you have ever taken something which did not belong to you, you are guilty. Adultery, lying, lust, drunkenness and sloth. Matthew 5:28 says 'But I say to you, anyone who stares at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.' All are sins which make you guilty before a holy God. You must repent. Repent and believe. The bible says at John 3:16 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' you see, God provided a way out for your sin. You cannot simply desire to live a better life. Being a good person does not atone for sin. Romans 3:23 The bible says that 'without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.' Hebrews 9:22b. Jesus Christ, the Son of God came to earth to die to pay for your sin. He took your place on that cross. 'But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.' Romans 5:8. He is the substitute God provided for you. All you must do is believe in your heart that He took your place and that He rose from the dead. The Bible says 'If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.' Romans 10:9. Confess and believe. Pray to God right now: Dear Father, I have sinned against your holy commandment and do repent of my sins. Please forgive me for my sins and I do now accept Jesus' payment on the cross as the payment for my sins and I accept Him now as my Savior. In Jesus name, Amen. If you will pray this prayer and believe on Christ Jesus, you will be saved. Again, Romans 10:9 says 'If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
