All attendees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and they are required to wear masks at all times. With Omicron exacerbating the surge in COVID-19 infections, digital health is one of the major topics at this year's event. Medical device maker Abbott has distributed free self-test kits to attendees at CES 2022. Their COVID-19 antigen self-test kit is easy to use and provides the result in just 15 minutes. Another huge area to look out for at CES this year is mobility,… where an intriguing category in space technology has been added. Sierra Space stands out with its Dream Chaser,… a space utility vehicle designed to serve various missions in space including transporting crew and cargo to low-Earth orbit like the International Space Station. AI and robotics is also one of the significant tech topics at CES 2022 and South Korean firms were at the center of it. South Korean firm Hancom Office presented their latest technology at CES 2022 and won a Smart City innovation award for HY-CHECK,... a remote water reading service. It utilizes AIoT and AI deep learning technology where the system monitors water meter gauges in a more energy efficient and convenient way. CES 2022 will run until Saturday with more than 2,100 tech companies from various industries vying for attention.
