Resident Evil: Requiem is the upcoming survival horror title developed and published by Capcom. It is the ninth main installment in the series, continuing the events of Resident Evil Village (2021). The story introduces a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst who ventures into the post-nuclear ruins of Raccoon City, accompanied by veteran federal agent Leon S. Kennedy. The game allows players to switch between the two characters, each with their own distinct gameplay style. Grace's sections focus on classic horror and exploration, in the vein of titles like Resident Evil 2 (2019), Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Village, as she tries to survive and escape the mysterious Victor Gideon and the creatures of the Wrenwood Hotel. Leon's missions, on the other hand, center on action and combat, reminiscent of the dynamic style of Resident Evil 4 (2023). Requiem was unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2025, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the series, and promises to reconnect with the events and secrets linked to the Raccoon City incident and the operations of the Umbrella Corporation, which have been absent since Resident Evil 5 (2009). Resident Evil: Requiem is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Windows).
