Parma teen charged with murder in shooting death of 17-year-old boy

Police confirm they have now arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy Tuesday afternoon in Parma. The 16-year-old was apprehended Wednesday as officers and SWAT team members executed a search warrant at a home on the 3100 block of Liggett Drive, not far from where the killing took place. The teen has been booked on accusations of murder, felonious assault, and improper discharge of a firearm over a roadway. Authorities say the incident "was not a random shooting" and that the suspect knew the victim, now identified as Lawrence Morgan of Snow Road. According to officials, Morgan was in a car with acquaintances before 3 p.m. when he got out on the 5700 block of South Park Boulevard and "something happened" that led to him being shot. He was rushed via ambulance to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, but died there from his injuries. READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/cri...
