3-6 Cannon Canyon World Record 1:00.72 by WorldsBoss - Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze

Well, this run is so improvable it's actually kinda funny. For some reason the previous world record here used Diddy, despite the fact that Cranky is faster (albeit marginally). WR is free, Gamolth. The hardest part about this level is the jump at 0:36. Too early and you hit the first ball of dynamite, too late and you hit the third. That jump is so painfully precise that I only actually got it about 10% of the time - maybe even less. It's probably possible to do cane-bounces from there into the first blast barrel, but I couldn't figure out a pattern that worked without hitting the other dynamite and losing Cranky. On a reeeally early cycle you can take damage at 0:39, but as you can see here the dynamite was too high by the time I got there so I was behind right from the start. Otherwise, my timing on all the blast barrels was virtually perfect. The only one I missed was at 1:28... I was a bit late there. I'm also not totally convinced that I jumped at the earliest possible moment just before hitting the goal barrel, so they may be a few frames to save there too. Still, at least this level uses the correct Kong now :P
