Turkey has detained 11 individuals as part of the investigation into a devastating fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, which killed at least 79 people and injured many others. The fire started on the restaurant floor at around 3:30 AM and quickly spread through the 12-story building, which had 238 registered guests. Survivors reported that they did not hear any fire alarms, and some were forced to jump from windows in the dark to escape the blaze. The victims include at least 20 children, and several funerals were held on Wednesday. The hotel has pledged full cooperation with the investigation, while President Erdogan declared a national day of mourning in response to the tragedy. #TurkeyFire #HotelFire #Kartalkaya #GrandKartalHotel #BoluMountains #FireTragedy #TurkeyInvestigation #FireSafety #NationalMourning #HotelSafety #FireVictims #TurkeyNews #HotelFireDisaster #Erdogan #SkiResortFire Turkey’s Ski Resort Hotel Fire Claims 79 Lives: Investigation Underway | DRM News | AP15 DRM News brings comprehensive coverage of global affairs from a unique and unbiased perspective.
