This modification is not for everyone. This is hidden feature so Kenwood hides this by purpose. This is risky procedure. The rules are: You have to write specific command in order to change the welcome screen. Any discrepancies will lead to error Make sure to use picture with 800 x 480 resolution in BMP 16-bit format and RGB565 setting. You can use Photoshop or Pixelformer to change your setting. I tried this modification with 2015 product. I cannot guarantee these steps are working with other types. There are many difference procedures for other type, other UI, other year and other series.
