Dominica | Gallion Loop Hike | An Edible Resort
In this vlog, we go hiking with Sam Raphael, Owner/Developer of Jungle Bay, which is where we stayed in Dominica. Jungle Bay is a Caribbean gem! A unique, simple, yet modern resort with a truly inspiring story. Prior to booking this trip, Allan and I saw a YouTube video about Jungle Bay, the Edible Resort, in which Sam shared some of Jungle Bay’s treasures - particularly, the MANY fruit trees throughout the resort that guests have access to, including mango, jackfruit, coconut, pineapples, pomegranate, bananas, and so much more! As Caribbean natives, ourselves, we were ready to book our trip after seeing that video! We are so happy we did… AND one of the best parts of our trip was meeting Sam and spending some real quality time with him and some of his family members and friends who were also visiting throughout our stay. On this particular Sunday, we bonded through this hike from Jungle Bay to the Gallion Loop and back to Jungle Bay. The most genuinely sweet and caring family! I think they touched our hearts forever! Added to that, Sam shares the Story of Jungle Bay with guests at the resort on Sundays. As you can see in this vlog, The Jungle Bay Story we attended during our stay allowed us to experience the fruit and plants of this Edible Resort, first-hand.
