A prominent leader of former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s party, Sadiq recently made controversial remarks in the country’s parliament over Pakistan’s handling of Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan. A member of parliament in Pakistan, Ayaz Sadiq recently made a statement in the country’s national assembly about the release of Wing Commander Abhinandan. Pakistan had decided to return Wing Commander Abhinandan to India following his capture after his jet crashed in Pakistani territory during a dogfight after the Balakot airstrike in February 2019. Now, posters have come up in Ayaz Sadiq’s own constituency showing him sporting the same mustache as IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan. Some of these posters also carry the face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an effort to paint Sadiq as ‘pro-India’. At this meeting, Sadiq claimed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said that India would attack Pakistan “that night by 9 pm” if Abhinandan was not released. Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s “legs were shaking” after Shah Mehmood Qureshi made this statement, Ayaz Sadiq claimed. “I remember Shah Mahmood Qureshi was in the meeting in which Imran Khan had refused to attend and Chief of Army Staff General Bajwa came into the room, his legs were shaking and he was perspiring. Foreign Minister said for god’s sake let Abhinandan go, India’s about to attack Pakistan at 9 pm,” PML(N) MP Ayaz Sadiq had said in a speech in Pakistan’s National Assembly. In an exclusive interaction with Times Now, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri opened up on Sunil Gavaskar's controversial comments on Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma during IPL 2020 edition. After a long break due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the IPL 2020 edition finally kicked off on September 19 in the UAE. While all eyes were on Indian skipper and RCB captain Virat Kohli, the 31-year-old took some time to get going as he marked his return to competitive cricket following India's tour of New Zealand early in 2020; in the pre-COVID era. While the RCB captain struggled to time the ball in the first few games, former Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar opened up on his struggles and passed a comment on-air, involving Kohli's wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. He stated, "Sirf Anushka ki bowling ki practice ki hai unhone", referring to Kohli-Anushka's viral video of playing cricket in their Mumbai residence during the lockdown period. Though a section also supported Gavaskar, he was slammed left, right and center by the majority for his 'distasteful' remark. Hence, Team India's head coach Ravi Shastri has reacted to the whole controversy lately. Shastri said in an exclusive interaction with Times Now, "If Anushka Sharma felt it, she is entitled to say. Whether the comment made by Sunil Gavaskar is agreeable or not, I would not have gone down that route myself"
