HITLER'S MASSIVE V2 ROCKET FACTORY - AMAZING DRONE VIEWS!

This is the massive German Blockhaus d’ Éperlecques in Northern France - one of the largest megastructures ever built during WW2. Also known as Kraftwerk Nord, this enormous concrete structure was created to assemble, store, and launch V2 missiles at London, England. Plans also included a factory to produce and store liquid oxygen to fuel Hitler's vengeance weapons. Work started in March 1943 with plans to fire up to thirty-six V2s on London every day. However, Allied air forces had other ideas and first bombed the site in August 1943 - at a time when the concrete was still setting - destroying the northernmost part of the building. In June and July 1944, ‘bunker-busting’ Tallboy bombs were dropped onto the complex - by the famous RAF 617 Squadron 'Dambusters', one even penetrating the five-metre thick roof. On September 4 1944 the site was captured by Canadian forces, just days after it had been abandoned by retreating German forces - it had never fired a single V2 on London. The massive building was then used to test a new concrete-busting weapon - the Disney bomb.
