Char-griller Akorn burn off
Burn off at 500 degrees for 1 hour drop to 400 and coat the cast iron grates with Avocado, Grape seed oil or what i use,, Buzzywaxx every 30 minutes for the next 3 hours. Grates will be a nice gold color ready to cook with.
