Coconut Mawa Barfi will certainly sweeten up any Festive Occasion. It is a recipe that doesn't require a lot of ingredients. You don't have to take the pain of condensing milk for a long time using this recipe. Mawa/ Khoya makes the process much quicker. RECIPE: Ingredients: . 3 Cups Sweet Mawa ( Meetha Mawa/ Khoya) . 1/2 Cup Sugar . 1 Cup Desiccated Coconut . 1/2 Tsp Cardamom ( Elaichi) Powder . 1 Tsp Kewra Warer . Melted Ghee for Greasing the Pan . 1 Tbsp Chopped Almonds . 1 Tbsp Chopped Pistachios ( Pista) Method: Place a heavy bottom pan on a cooktop on low heat. Add the Mawa into the pan and cook until the Mawa starts melting. Now add the Sugar and mix well. Keep cooking and stirring continuously on low heat. Once the Mawa turns slightly golden, add the Desiccated Coconut and mix well. Now add the Cardamom Powder and Kewra Water and mix again. Take a square or rectangle shaped moulds and transfer the Barfi into it. Spread evenly with the help of a Spatula. Now sprinkle some Chopped Almonds and Pistachios on top and allow it to cool on room temperature for half an hour. Cut the Barfi into little squares and you have a treat ready for your sweet tooth. Tip: In case you don't come across Kewra Water, you could use Rose Water Instead.
