North West Education Department opens a case of malicious damage to property

The North West Department of Education has opened a case of malicious damage to property following the forceful entry to two Mega Farms Schools. Learners from Tirelong Secondary School in Kroondal, near Rustenburg, were relocated to three Mega Farm schools as the Tirelong school buildings were vandalised. But many parents were against the move, and demanded temporary structures at the school instead. After allegedly receiving calls from some of the pupils, a group of parents went to remove the learners at the Boons and Naaupoort hostels. Newzroom Afrika reporter, Bafedile Moerane, is following the story. Tune into Newzroom Afrika, DSTV channel 405 for more details.
