Like the original Act of Aggression, it was developed by Eugen Systems and published by Focus Home Interactive. The Reboot Edition aims the streamline the gameplay of Act of Aggression. Several units and structures were replaced or removed entirely, and units model were enlarged and changed cosmetically. More importantly, aluminium and rare earth metals were removed from the game, with money being the sole resource now. Additional changes include higher movement speeds for planes and reduced unit reaction times. Act of Aggression: Reboot Edition does not support the original game's campaign, though multiplayer and skirmish mode are both available.
