White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday = provided a rundown of assistance to India as it battles a catastrophic coronavirus outbreak. Psaki said six air shipments funded by USAID have departed the U.S. containing supplies, equipment and assistance expected to exceed $100 million. Asked whether the White House plans to lift international travel restrictions as the European Union plans on doing, Psaki would not commit, insisting the administration will rely on the advice of health and medical experts "on what is safe for the American public." "This is a case which is endlessly frustrating to people and we acknowledge that," she said.
