Spiritual Gems Commentary December 22-28, 2025 Isa. 11:10 — How has this prophecy been fulfilled? However, the prophecy draws attention to more than that. As we have already seen, it points to the reign of the Messiah, the true Leader for people of all nations. The apostle Paul quoted Isaiah 11:10 to show that, in his day, people of the nations would have a place in the Christian congregation. Quoting the Septuagint translation of this verse, he wrote: “Isaiah says: ‘There will be a root of Jesse, and there will be one arising to rule the nations; in him the nations will base their hope.’” (Romans 15:12) Furthermore, the scope of the prophecy extends to our day, when people of all nations demonstrate love for Jehovah by supporting the Messiah’s anointed brothers.
