Auburn WWll veteran receives medal 77 years later

An Auburn-area World War ll veteran received a medal this week for his action in combat 77 years ago. Retired sergeant Marvin Cornett walked to the Veteran’s Memorial Center in Folsom, the same height and weight as when he joined the army in 1941. There, the 99-year-old received a Purple Heart for his actions during the war. See more in the video above.
