Jason Garriotte (Former Pro Tennis #301 USTA Top 500) Ronan Camron (16 yrs old - 1st pro event) VS Travis Rettenmaier (Former Pro Tennis - ATP #57 Doubles - #273 Singles) Duncan Crowley (3rd time playing pickleball) NOTE: Travis and Duncan decided during their first round that Duncan would try to stay out of the way and let the world class tennis player take over the court. Essentially Playing Singles vs Doubles! So Jason and Ronan had to figure out how best to keep Travis from ending the point on them before they got it to Duncan... Or made Travis miss from a good shot. The key was to focus on not only isolating Duncan, but to keep Travis knowing they may go at where he should be in typical doubles... which opened up “possible” access to Duncan. As you’ll see... this was very difficult to execute successfully because of Travis’s speed and skill level. This is edited down to “Just The Points” for quick viewing.
