John the Baptist offered a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. This was the baptism Jesus sought and received. Why would Jesus the Christ seek out, or desire such a baptism? What did God’s Son need to repent of? What need had he for forgiveness? These are the questions today’s message considers.
