"Help! The Cossacks are coming" (teaser, July 2010)

2013: 200 years after Cossack troops helped liberate the Netherlands from Napoleon's occupation, Chronoscoop and the Netherlands-Russia Centre (NRCe) of the State University of Groningen go back in time to uncover some of the mysteries surrounding the proud and fierce Cossack people that helped change the face of modern Europe. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary, a documentary, provisionally titled "Help! The Cossacks are coming", will be released in 2013. This documentary will combine re-enactment of the historic Cossacks battles including Waterloo, and their traditional way of life with the views and analysis of high-profile historians. In addition, the documentary will also include an interesting and colourful portrait of how the remaining Cossacks live their lives today. An official trailer will soon be released.
