Pedestrian dies after crash near Las Vegas Strip

A South Carolina man is dead after he was struck by a car just east of the Las Vegas Strip Thursday night, according to police. The crash happened around 9:08 p.m. on E. Tropicana Avenue east of Koval Lane, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a statement. The 20-year-old pedestrian from Summerville, South Carolina, was crossing the street outside of a marked or implied crosswalk when he was hit by a 2014 Lexus IS heading east, according to LVMPD.
