Previously, the party arrived in Greedmore Valley, an aptly named town in the east of the Dread Realm. Continuing their investigation of the town, they check out the casino. The casino rewards include Metal King Armour for 150,000 tokens, which is well worth it. It also has the Flail of Destruction, a powerful weapon for Carver, Amos, and Terry. As for talking to the patrons, they do learn that someone recently drowned in a nearby lake. The party then checks out the northeast mansion, the home of Morgan Gainmore (time 3:48). One of the pots near the stove on the lower level contains a Kamikazee Bracer (time 4:26). Upstairs, they chat with Morgan Gainmore (time 4:54). He tells them to come back once they have looked for the treasure. Well, fine. The western chest in Gainmore's room is a Mimic (time 6:04). It drops a Seed of Life when defeated. The eastern chest is also a Mimic (time 6:50). This one also drops a Seed of Life. Talk about security! Then, in the northwest, the party heads into the Old Coal Mine (time 7:49). At the end of the first eastern path, there is a chest containing a Seed of Strength (time 9:52). While the party explores this area, Nevan reaches Sage Rank 2, Scholar (time 10:37). He learns Insulatle. Amos reaches Martial Artist Rank 7, Dojo Master. He learns Heave-Ho. Just off the first eastern path, there is a stairway leading down (time 11:37). The man here has a tale of woe about his dad. No treasure, sadly. While the party is down here, Heorot, the Prince of Somnia, reaches Level 36 (time 12:51). The party returns to the first floor (time 13:34). They return to the western corridor and continue north. As they continue north, they run into a Liquid Metal Slime (time 14:56). After they defeat it, Terry, the Swordsman in Blue, reaches Level 29 (time 15:48). Heorot reaches Hero Rank 7, Super Hero, and learns Lightning Storm. Terry reaches Mage Rank 2, Apprentice, and learns Sizz and Dazzle. Soon afterwards, Ashlynn, the Scion of Sorceria, reaches Level 34 (time 17:57). She also reaches Dancer Rank 5, Rising Star, and learns Cop Out. In the south of the northeastern passage, the party goes downstairs to level B1 (time 18:49). Just to the west, there is a chest in a side passage to the south that is a Mimic (time 19:17). It drops a Seed of Life when it is defeated. As the party continues on, Carver reaches Dragon Rank 5, White Dragon (time 21:46). He learns Inferno. A little later, Nevan, the Ghentile Prodigy, reaches Level 35 (time 22:42). The path leading north leads around east and south. The party will chance upon a priest who reveals that the Supreme Sage is imprisoned in Gallows Moor. Sounds like it's time for a rescue mission! As the party continues on, Amos, the Local Hero, reaches Level 33 (time 25:01). In the southeast, the party continues downstairs to level B2 (time 25:32). The path here is straightforward. To the north, the party finds a chest (time 27:01). It is empty, except for a note instructing them to see Morgan Gainmore for information about the Supreme Sage's treasure. Jerk! The party casts Evac to return to Greedmore Valley (time 27:51). Upstairs in Gainmore's mansion, the party talks to Morgan Gainmore (time 28:06). After shafting them for 5,000 gold, he tells them to visit a hidden lake in the forest to the northwest. Apparently, the Supreme Sage left his treasure at the bottom of that lake. Strange. By the way, there is no need to pay this exorbitant fee simply to progress the story. As for resting, it is cheaper to Zoom back to Despairia and then return. Next time, the party will head northwest to this lake. Thanks for watching! This video is part of my Dragon Quest VI [DS] Playthrough playlist.
