Spider-Man 2: The Movie Walkthrough Part 12: Cleaning The Slate (Shocker 2nd Boss Fight)

Having dealt with Shocker, Spider-Man proceeds to fight more criminals around New York before eventually making his way to Daily Bugle. As he heads out, Spider-Man runs into an man claiming that "aliens" are robbing an small store. As he gets in, Spider-Man sees Mysterio in the flesh demanding money from the clerk. As he intervenes, Spider-Man is threatened by Mysterio, only to knock him out with an single punch and knock off his headgear. Humiliated for the third time and finally unmasked properly, Beck finally surrenders, with Spider-Man taking an photo of him and delivering it to Daily Bugle to finally expose Beck as the villain. However, Jameson comes to the conclusion that Mysterio and Spider-Man were in cahoots. As he exits the building and suits up, Peter approaches a woman calling for help, only for her to run off upon seeing him. Realizing the disasterous effect Jameson's smear campaign is having on his efforts to protect New York, Spider-Man decides to storm into Daily Bugle offices suited up and finally confront Jameson. However, before he can do so, Black Cat arrives once more and talks him down, managing to convince him that violently confronting Jameson will only aggravate the issue. She also tells him that she has managed to track Shocker down again and that he has started to experiment with electromagnetic propulsion technology. In order to stop him and help Black Cat get revenge on Shocker for knocking her down during previous confrontation, Spider-Man follows her to Shocker's new hideout at Oscorp's abandoned research facility located on Roosevelt Island. There, Spider-Man and Black Cat once again face Shocker together and manage to defeat him despite his attempt to utilize electomagnetic field to protect himself. With Shocker defeated for good, Spider-Man splits off, remembering that Mary-Jane has another play that night... NOTE: During the cutscene when Peter arrives to Daily Bugle offices, he is apparently supposed to enter the elevator. However, since the elevator will never open, Peter will walk into the door indefinitely unless the cutscene is skipped. I don't know what exactly causes this, but it also happened in the walkthrough i watched for the reference before recording this chapter which leads me to believe it's some kind of bug. However, since it doesn't really impede the progress of the game, i just wanted to let you know what happened. Thank you for understanding and enjoy the gameplay.
