My big bird project! introduction and speed painting with mixed media

I am very excited to welcome to my new video. This is the beginning a personal project to illustrate 100 British birds. I know this isn’t the most original concept with many artists attempting similar projects but this is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I think it’s a shame to keep on delaying it. I will be keeping you all updated with the project so please stick around if you are interested in bird illustration. the birds will be illustrated in my own art style using mixed media, mostly watercolour pencils, colouring pencils and a bit of gouache. Later in the project I am thinking of painting some of the birds in acrylic paint to mix thigs up and keep it interesting! I’m still finalising my choices so if there are any birds you would like to see then feal free to let me know your suggestions. Only rule is that they have to be a species you can find in the UK.
